Vestnik Kavkaza – Russian President Vladimir Putin has challenged U.S. President Joe Biden to talks broadcast live around the world.
Putin said he had last spoken to Biden by phone at the U.S. President’s request and that he now proposed they had another conversation, on Friday or Monday, to be held by video-link and broadcast live.
“I wouldn’t put this off for too long. I want to go to the taiga on the weekend to get some rest, but we could do it tomorrow or, let’s say, on Monday,” the Russian president told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
“Please, we are ready at any time convenient for the Americans, I will give the corresponding directive right now to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs [of Russia],” Putin said.
The two leaders last spoke by telephone on January 26 days after Biden took office.
