Hezbollah extends condolences to Leader over death of Hojjatoleslam Mohtashamipour

IRNA – Lebanon’s Hezbollah through a statement extended condolences to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei over the death of Hojjatoleslam Ali-Akbar Mohtashamipour.

Hojjatoleslam Mohtashamipour, the former Iranian minister of interior, who made great efforts to creation of Islamic Resistance in Lebanon after the 1982 Israeli invasion against the country passed away in Tehran on June 7, 2021, at the age of 75 due to coronavirus.

 

Lebanon’s Hezbollah, through its statement, also sympathized with the family of Hojjatoleslam Mohtashamipour over his death.

 

During his life, Mohtashamipour made remarkable contributions to the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic, and regional states, the statement said.

 

He also served Palestine significantly, Hezbollah statement added.

 

Hojjatoleslam Mohtashamipour’s funeral ceremony was held on Tuesday (June 8) while health protocols were followed.
