IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Iraqi President Barham Salih met on Sunday to examine the issues of mutual concern.
During the meeting, the two sides explored avenues for bolstering mutual cooperation and the recent regional and international issues.
Zarif, heading a high-profile delegation, arrived in the Iraqi capital earlier on Sunday for a one-day visit and will then depart for Erbil.
Earlier, the Iranian foreign minister attended a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein after they had earlier met in the day.
