Protesters broke through to the presidential palace in Belgrade

The authorities will prevent the threat of violence, the police will ensure security in the presidential palace. This was stated to journalists by the head of Serbia, Alexander Vucic, during a press conference that began at the residence at 12:00 local time.

More than a thousand protesters tried to break into the presidential palace, breaking the fence around the building.

“Their only problem is that fewer people are going. At night, there were 1,584 people, and they are nervous because of this. And now there are even fewer, but a lot of noise, because the fascist Obradovic and the oligarchs Djilas and Jeremic could return to power, ” – Vučić told reporters.

The decision to hold a meeting with the press was a reaction of the authorities to the unrest that swept Belgrade on Saturday, March 16. During the action, the building of the state broadcasting company was temporarily seized. Protests are held in Serbia every Saturday from the beginning of December. Their participants express dissatisfaction with the policy of the current President Alexander Vucic and the coverage of events on the air of the Serbian state television.
