Tasnim News – Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali and a Russian deputy foreign minister discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Jalali and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Vladimirovich Syromolotov held a meeting in Moscow on Wednesday, the envoy said in a post on the twitter account of the Iranian Embassy.
“In the friendly meeting, the cooperation between Iran and Russia in the fight against extremism and terrorism was discussed,” Jalali added.
The ambassador also noted that Tehran-Moscow ties are based upon consultations on various regional and international issues, particularly the battle against terrorism, extremism and unilateralism.
Iran believes that the only way to achieve peace and stability in the region and the world is to respect the international law and work in cooperation against terrorism threats, he added.
