Azerbaijani and Turkish Foreign Ministers hold phone talks on Karabakh conflict

Vestnik Kavkaza – Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu held a phone conversation on October 29, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Bayramov expressed his sincere congratulations on the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic and wished fraternal Turkey sustainable peace, well-being, and prosperity.

The ministers also exchanged views on the current situation in the region.

It was emphasized that the Armenian Armed Forces’ treacherous attack on civilians and the commitment of new war crimes against the civilian population of Azerbaijan are unacceptable and those guilty of these crimes must be brought to justice.

On October 28, the Azerbaijani city of Barda was subjected to a massive missile attack by the Armenian armed forces. As a result of a missile strike, 16 men and five women were killed the day before, another 70 people, including eight children and 15 women, were injured of varying severity. On October 27, Barda region was also attacked with Armenia’s reactive missiles, four people were killed, including a 7-year-old girl, 14 people, including 4 children, were injured.
